Dear Burlingame families and Patrons:
I am reaching out to inform you of decisions I have made regarding the Corona Virus and school activities.
Northern Osage County has seen a recent uptick in Corona Virus cases. After collaborating with the Osage County Health Department, I have decided to suspend all student activities and camps for the remainder of the month of July. This includes Weight Lifting, basketball, volleyball, football camps, summer league and any other in person activities.
The eighth grade and high school graduations will take place with the following changes: The ceremonies will be held outdoors; face masks are highly recommended as is social distancing.
Also, there will be a high school graduation practice on Friday at 9 AM on the football field followed by an eighth grade graduation practice on Friday at 10 AM on the Football Field. Once again, masks are highly recommended as is social distancing.
It is my sincere hope that we will be healthy and able to open our doors to students in August. To do so, we must slow the spread of this virus by reducing the amount of contact we have with one another.
This was a difficult decision. I feel compelled to err on the side of caution to assure the safety and health of the Burlingame Community.
Stay safe and healthy, and I look forward to meeting you in August!
