Food Service Director – Burlingame School District
The Burlingame School District is seeking a dependable, motivated, and team-oriented Food Service Director to join our school nutrition program. This position plays an important role in providing healthy, nutritious meals to our students while maintaining a safe, efficient, and welcoming kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
Manage the daily operation of the food service program, including ordering supplies, meal preparation, and meal service.
Oversee daily kitchen activities and assist staff where needed to ensure efficient operations.
Plan daily menus and schedules in accordance with program requirements.
Ensure the food service program complies with all applicable federal and state regulations.
Supervise and coordinate food service operations while promoting proper nutrition and safeguarding the health and well-being of students and staff.
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and appropriately.
Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with fellow employees.
Clean and sanitize the kitchen, including washing dishes and maintaining a clean work environment.
Assist with all aspects of daily food service operations as needed.
Qualifications:
Dependable, reliable, and self-motivated.
Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Previous food service experience is preferred but not required.
Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Compensation: Competitive wages based on experience.
