📣FBLA NATIONALS FUNDRAISING UPDATE📣
Thank you to everyone who has helped and supported Mr. Salyers with the fundraising campaign for the FBLA National Leadership Conference to attend alongside Chloe (who is competing at the conference in Word Processing) so far. From the beginning of this campaign, we were at 6%, and now we are sitting at 78%.
However, we are not done yet. There is still time to place orders for Cookie Dough (orders and payment are due by June 25th) and Papa Murphy's Pizza (orders and payment are due by July 3rd).

📣 FBLA Nationals Conference UPDATE 📣
We’re thrilled to share that Chloe is now 100% funded to attend the National FBLA Conference! 🎉🙌 A huge THANK YOU to everyone who supported her through donations and fundraisers. We couldn’t have done it without you!
Now, we’re shifting our focus to help FBLA Adviser Mr. Travisray Salyers join Chloe at the conference. While the priority was getting Chloe there first, Mr. Salyers is currently only 6% funded and needs your support to cover his $2,554 cost.

Regional Softball Information
Tuesday, May 20, 2025
Burlingame/Allen-Northern Heights vs Council Grove 1:00pm
Location: Southeast of Saline Junior/Senior High School - 5056 E. K-4 Highway
The field is located just to the south of our main building.
We have a new turf field. Please let your players/coaches/fans know:
- NO METAL CLEATS
- NO SUNFLOWER SEEDS - on the field or in the stands
Admission: KSHSAA admission is $8/adults and $6/K-12 Students. Only roster and pass gate personnel will be admitted free.
Concessions: Concessions will be available.
Fan Parking: Spectator parking is available north of the school. The parking lot will be marked. (refer to attached map). We will have golf carts available to help transport handicap spectators.
Fan Seating: Bleachers are available for seating. Our bleacher seating is limited. Fans are encouraged to bring lawn chairs with them.
Rest Rooms: We have restrooms in our 6th Grade Center (the Morton Building east of the softball field)


Washburn Tech Summer Camp 2025:
Students entering 7th and 8th Grade

Camp Dates: June 9 through June 12, 2025
Students entering 9th and 10th Grade:
(2025-2026 School Year)
Camp Dates: June 16-18th and June 20, 2025
Application Deadline: 5/16/2025 or when capacity has been reached.

Applications will be processed in the order they are received. Payment must be made at the time of enrollment. Every effort will be made to schedule your child into the preferred career exploration classes. However, no guarantees can be made as enrollment in each career exploration class is limited.
Students must select 5 programs but will be scheduled into 4 based on availability.
Hours of Camp: 9 a.m. - 4 p.m. Students may be dropped of at Washburn Tech starting at 8:30 a.m. Fees: $75 per week Morning and afternoon snacks provided.
Students must bring their own (cold) lunch.
USD 454 Burlingame provides transportation to and from the school for this activity.
USD 454 Burlingame Schools will reimburse the $75 fee if your child attends all 4 days of camp.

25-26 Sports Physicals-Dr. Boss will be at our school tomorrow starting at 9:00 am, providing sports physicals for all interested Burlingame Student-Athletes. Physical packets have been available in the office and will need to be returned by tomorrow for Dr. Boss to complete. Please contact the high school office if you have any questions.

Burlingame HS Greenhouse Is Open!!








The start time for the HS Softball Game at Crest has been moved up to 3:00pm today.

The Freshmen Class (Class of 2028) is hosting a Biscuits and Gravy Meal Deal at the Saturday JV Softball Double Header! Games start at 10 A.M.


Due to the forecasted weather on Thursday 4/24, the JH Track meet has been moved to tomorrow Wednesday 4/23 HERE starting at 10:00am.

HS Softball Senior Parent Night will be on May 2nd. The ceremony will take place between games.

**Calendar Addition** We have added a HS softball game on May 1st Here vs Wabaunsee starting at 4:00pm.

**Time Change**-The HS Track meet this Friday April 11th @ Lyndon will start at 3:00pm.

On March 31st and April 1st, Future Business Leaders of America members attended the Kansas FBLA State Leadership Conference and participated in the competitive events program. Our FBLA chapter had the following state placers and state recognitions:
HIGH SCHOOL EVENTS
🏆 Chloe Suddarth placed 7th in Word Processing
🏆 As a chapter, we placed 6th in Outstanding Chapter
🎖 As a chapter, we also received for the 3rd year in a row Gold Seal Chapter
MIDDLE SCHOOL EVENTS
🏆 The team of Lauren Middleton and Elise Prim placed 3rd in Exploring Business Issues
🏆 Elise Prim placed 5th in Exploring Leadership; 6th in Interpersonal Communication; and 4th in Learning Strategies.
🏆 Navy Vandruff placed 8th in Exploring Technology
🏆 Kaedy Ward placed 10th in Digital Citizenship; and 4th in Exploring Technology
We also got the chance to honor and celebrate a local businessperson as a Kansas FBLA Businessperson of the Year recipient. This year we nominated Patty Atchison for the award.

**Calendar Change**-There will be NO softball game played on April 14th.
