The window closes for nominations for Teacher of the Year on September 15. Please don't miss the opportunity to let a teacher know what a difference he or she has made for you.
Burlingame USD 454 is home to some of the most dedicated educators in Kansas. Let's make sure the state the rest of the state knows it. Whether you're a student who had a teacher who believed in you, a parent who saw the difference firsthand, or a neighbor who's watched a teacher shape our community, your nomination matters.
Teachers who have five years (including this one) or more in the classroom, including at least three years in Burlingame USD 454, are eligible for the honor. We will select one elementary teacher and one secondary teacher to move forward to the state-level competition.

We have added a HS JV Football game HERE vs West Franklin on Monday September 14th at 5:00pm.
Due to the excessive heat this week and player safety being our top priority, we will be moving kickoff for this Thursday's JH Football game vs Lebo to 7:30 PM. JH Volleyball games will still start at 5:00 pm in the high school gym.
The JV HS Football game here on September 8th has been CANCELLED due to Northern Heights having low numbers.

As part of our ongoing commitment to student and staff safety, USD 454 will be conducting scheduled school safety evacuation drills. These drills allow students and staff to practice our safety procedures and ensure everyone knows what to do in the event of an emergency.
Upcoming Evacuation Drills:
Secondary (Grades 6–12): Monday, August 24, 2026 at 12:30 p.m.
Elementary (Grades PreK–5): Thursday, August 27, 2026 at 9:00 a.m.
Please know that these are planned drills only and there is no cause for concern. Students will be supervised by school staff throughout the drills.
